The Pigeon  House

, shown above was in a sorry state  with the roof caveing in

and the facade crumbling but as an architectural icon typical of the region its well worth saving. After reinforcement the roof is removed and the timber structure beneath is inspected those members past saving are replaced and the rest treated with a preserveative insectacide the small flat tiles are refitted and in just 6 months it has blended back in with its surroundings

ready to face the next 50 years. Although now structuraly sound with the moss and lichen once again takeing hold it seems untouched. charming.
